Brett King is the Founder and CEO of COMET Strategy.
A respected global figure in the field of optimisation application and research, Brett has more than 25 years of experience covering operational and strategic roles in both small and multi-national companies. Prior to establishing COMET Strategy, Brett was a Senior Princial with Rio Tinto Technical Services group and, based on the pioneering work of Ken Lane, was responsible for the development and implementation of optimisation principles and associated cash flow grades in the Rio Tinto optimisation system COSMOS.
A widely published author and popular conference speaker, Brett holds a PhD from London University Royal School of Mines on optimal mine scheduling policies, as well as a Bachelor and Masters degree in mining engineering.
Brett is a keen runner and triathlete.

Carlos has a passion for pushing the boundaries of strategic planning.
From his practical experience working in the mining industry, Carlos saw the opportunity to apply research concepts to improve the value of mining projects now known as Grade Engineering with the CRC Ore project. Carlos's PhD was not even published when he first applied it to the Anglo American Los Bronces project in Chile in 2016. This case demonstrated significant value for the project and is now planned to be implemented at other major mining operations around the world.
Carlos is one of the founders of the Mexican Festival and Australian Latin American Young Professionals (ALAYP).

Rodrigo Eugenin is a Strategic Planning Specialist working with COMET Strategy.
Rodrigo graduated in Mining Engineering from University of Santiago de Chile in 2000.
He has become specialised in economic evaluation, cost estimation and strategic long-term mine planning through using COMET Strategy’s Optimal Scheduler. Most of the COMET Users in South America know Rodrigo and many of them were also trained by Rodrigo who has built many of their original models.

Nat Chouinard is an accomplished mining professional bringing more than 18 years of operating experience in international mining and mineral processing projects.
Nat began working in various mines around Canada as Mine Supervisor and Superintendent, then progressively to more senior roles with mining companies in Canada, Tunisia and Botswana. Nat joined COMET Strategy from Labrador Iron Mines where he was Senior Vice President Projects. He also held a range of positions at IAMGold Corporation in Corporate Development, Operating Strategy and as Manager of Mining for Africa operations.
Nat graduated in 1994 from College of Thetford-Mines in Mining Engineering Technology.
